Q: Can I use BackRex Backup Tools to back up email?

A: Yes. Most of our corporate customers use BackRex Expert Backup to back up Outlook mail folders and Windows Mail or Outlook Express mail boxes as long as personal settings and profile are stored on the employee computers. Using BackRex Backup for mail backup is very simple - you can do it with a few mouse clicks.

Q: Does BackRex Backup saves Windows profile?

A: BackRex Expert Backup saves all user settings and customizations (also known as profile) such as desktop layout, sound and mouse cursor schemes, power settings, toolbars and so on. It can also backup MS Office configuration and settings, Internet Explorer favorites, history and customizations, Outlook Express mail folders and address book.

Q: I want to transfer email(s) from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010, can BackRex help me?

A: Using BackRex Outlook Backup you can transfer (migrate) all your Outlook data, including email, from/to any version of MS Outlook (not Outlook Express). For Outlook Express we have a different tool - BackRex Outlook Express Backup.

Q: Does BackRex Backup backs up MS Office documents?

A: BackRex Backup was designed to back up settings and profile(s) for MS Office and Windows. BackRex Expert Backup has an option, which allows you to back up all recently used MS Office documents, such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint files, and all contents of the 'My Documents' folder.

Q: Does BackRex Backup saves Word's custom dictionary file?

A: Yes. BackRex Easy and Expert Backup do save MS Office custom dictionary file.

Q: Can I back up Outlook or Outlook Express mail and contacts?

A: Yes. We have two special products - BackRex Outlook Backup and BackRex Outlook Express Backup. Using these tools, you can back up all Outlook or Windows Mail/Outlook Express data, including personal contacts, mail folders, address books, rules wizard, blocked senders list, etc. To back up your data, simply install BackRex Outlook Backup (or BackRex Outlook Express Backup) and follow instructions on the screen - it's that simple.

Q: Does BackRex Backup saves offline folders used in Windows XP?

A: Yes. BackRex Easy and Expert Backup save offline folders and all it's contents.

Q: What email programs are supported by BackRex Backup?

A: Current version of BackRex Backup tools provides backup support for OutlookWindows Mail, Outlook Express, Eudora, The Bat!, IncrediMail, Mozilla Thunderbird and Opera mail clients.

Q: Can I transfer all my contacts and messages from Outlook to Outlook Express (or vice versa)?

A: Unfortunately no. BackRex Backup tools cannot help you in this situation. To do such migration you can use internal import/export wizard in Outlook or Outlook Express.

Q: How often do I need to backup my mail?

A: The frequency of mail backups depends on your daily mail flow and your needs. For example: if you have 2 - 5 emails per day, an appropriate backup frequency is about once or twice per month.
